about
Hi! I’m Chayawan Thaweesaksiri, but feel free to call me Cherry! I’m a UI designer, illustrator, food lover, volleyball fan, and dedicated K-drama and Thai lakorn enthusiast. Born and raised in Myanmar, I studied in the U.S. and am now based in Tokyo. I’m passionate about creating empathetic designs that resonate across cultures and backgrounds.
Filled with ideas and daydreams, the Brain Cloud fuels creativity but can sometimes cloud focus with distractions.

Origins:
Hi! I’m Cherry! I’m of Thai, Burmese, and Chinese descent. And yes, I’ve heard all the cherry jokes! My full name is Cherrywin, but most people just call me Cherry. Although my legal name is Thai, I go by my Burmese name—it’s much easier to say (cue the long Thai names!).
FUN FACT: In Myanmar, people don’t have last names!
power Source:
In my free time, I love drawing and painting. When I’m not creating, you can find me playing volleyball—I never miss an FIVB game (Go Yuki Ishikawa!). My guilty pleasures include binge-watching Korean dramas, Thai lakorns, true crime shows, and pretty much any food documentary I can find.
Feeding frenzy:
FOOD..! I am OBSESSED with everything FOOD, be it eating, cooking, listening, watching, or drawing it. Currently, I’m working on a small passion project about traditional lesser-known Thai and Burmese food, which you can check out on my Art portfolio page (here)!
